House in the west of Lyon

A family wanted to make their 125m² home more comfortable, smart, and energy-efficient. Recently built in a traditional style, this home includes four bedrooms, a large living room, a garage, and a garden. The goal was to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by automation to transform this home into a connected, scalable haven designed for the well-being of the entire family.

LIGHTING: All lighting in the house, including the garage and garden, is fully controlled by Loxone. All lighting fixtures in the house are RGBW (spotlights, pendant lights, ceiling lights, LED strips, etc.), allowing you to create personalized ambiances throughout the day with visual comfort thanks to smooth 24V dimming. Light intensity adjusts according to natural light and presence detection in each room. Everything can be controlled centrally or room by room using the Touch and Touch Pure Flex interfaces.



DETECTION: Each room is equipped with presence sensors that automatically turn on the light in case of movement, turn it off when the room is unoccupied, trigger scenarios such as night mode or the alarm, and achieve significant energy savings on a daily basis.



ENERGY: The house monitors solar production and electricity consumption in real time thanks to the integration of data from the Linky meter. The system also uses EDF Tempo data to identify high-rate days (white or red) and inform occupants. The system automatically adjusts the home's behavior accordingly: lowering the temperature, limiting the use of certain appliances, and optimizing lighting.



ACCESS: Access to the home is via a Loxone intercom with video feedback available on the app. An NFC reader allows the gate, garage door, or the house to be opened using personalized codes or a badge. It is also possible to generate temporary codes for guests or delivery drivers and control everything remotely.



CONTROL: Standard Touch interfaces are present in all rooms and combine all useful functions into a single control point: lighting, roller shutters, temperature, and music control. Custom Touch Pure Flex interfaces are also installed in certain rooms to centralize the home's main functions. MULTI-ROOM AUDIO: The Loxone audio system is used for background music in all rooms, as well as for the connected intercom, the audible alarm in case of intrusion, smoke, or flooding, as well as for audio notifications reminding you to take out the trash or if a window is still open when away mode is activated.



INDOOR CLIMATE: The house is heated and cooled using an air-to-water heat pump combined with a hydraulic floor. Intelligent room-by-room control is provided by Loxone thermostatic heads on the manifolds and Touch interfaces that continuously measure temperature and humidity. Monitoring the CO2 level in the house influences the speed of the mechanical ventilation system.



SHADOWING: All the roller shutters in the house can be controlled via the Touch interfaces, remotely via the mobile app, or centrally with predefined scenarios such as departure or arrival in the house or night mode. The roller shutters can also open or close automatically depending on the sun's position and light intensity, to limit the rise in temperature inside the rooms.



SECURITY: The house is secured with motion detectors, door and window opening detectors, as well as smoke and flood detectors. If triggered, the centralized alarm uses the lighting and audio system to alert the occupants, and notifications are immediately sent to the owners' smartphones.



NIGHT MODE: When going to bed, parents activate night mode, which turns off all the lights, closes the shutters, silences the intercom, etc. When moving around at night, a dim blue light is automatically activated so they can move around the house safely without being dazzled.



MISCELLANEOUS: An iPad attached to the entrance provides access to a complete home dashboard. It displays key home data such as temperature, energy consumption, etc. From this screen, it is also possible to control all of the home's functions in just a few clicks.
