Challenge
The Magna warehouse in Kędzierzyn-Koźle operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - so it's no wonder that energy bills were high. Faced with rising costs and environmental concerns, industrial plants are turning to innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency. In the Magna warehouse, thanks to the simple integration of Loxone lighting control, thousands of zlotys are saved every month. How was this done?
Solution
The Magna warehouse in Kędzierzyn-Koźle is a perfect example of how modern technology can bring significant savings.
As part of the modernization, the lighting was completely replaced - uneconomical metal halide lamps were replaced with Beghelli LED lamps.
The hall was divided into five zones, and each of them received six new lamps. There are three surface-mounted Loxone Tree presence sensors in each zone, and the whole thing is supplemented with a 24V Loxone power supply and, of course, a Miniserver.
In addition to dramatically reducing energy consumption, the new lighting system improved working conditions in the warehouse. LED lights provide brighter and more consistent lighting, increasing staff comfort and safety. Moreover, the system's ability to adjust lighting levels based on real-time activity optimized the work environment.
The switch to a more energy-efficient lighting system has also contributed to Magna's sustainability initiatives. By reducing electricity consumption, the warehouse reduced its carbon footprint, supporting wider environmental goals and demonstrating corporate responsibility.
Given the success of this project, nothing stands in the way of implementing further intelligent functions in the facility. Magna's next step will be to monitor utility consumption.
