An increasing number of workers, have longer and more varied working hours which is leading to inefficient energy use and higher costs for the original first floor of the Jumbotail Offices in Bangalore. Energy conservation and cost-effective expansion were the specific problems posed. With the addition of another floor coming soon, the potential for a further increase in energy consumption was substantial, requiring an efficient solution through automation.

Loxone was employed for the automation of lighting and the HVAC system on the newer office floor to address energy consumption concerns. The Loxone-optimized floor saw a reduction in energy costs by 30% despite having more employees and longer working hours, in comparison to the floor below, which had fewer employees and shorter operational hours. Even the cost of the Loxone automation is now mitigated due to the energy cost savings thanks to the automation. With just automation for the lights and the HVAC system, the office faced a considerable decrease in the total energy cost.
