Challenge
The main objective of this project was to control the indoor climate of different areas (offices, common areas, meeting areas, conference rooms, etc).
As the building also has locker rooms for the police force, it required an access control system.
Another very important aspect was the control of ventilation throughout the building and ensuring the correct CO2 and humidity levels.
Like many public buildings today, the project required implementing the intelligent control and energy consumption management of the air conditioning units, the hot water servicing and the air renewal ventilation system.
Another objective was to record incidents and control alarms.
As the building also has locker rooms for the police force, it required an access control system.

Solution
The solution to control each area individually was the installation of Touch Flex switches that are set to operate the temperature and the speed of the fan coils in each space.
In this case, Loxone controls a unit in charge of all indoor climate features, a different machine hot water servicing and up to 5 air recuperators for the entire air renewal ventilation system in the building. The control of all these machines is done through an integration with the Modbus RTU.
In order to monitor the energy consumption of all the above, network analysers for each of these units were implemented.
In a building like this, the management of alarms is also very important. These inform the maintenance teams of any error or anomaly detected in the integrated and controlled systems.
