Challenge
Nicro.be has designed, supplied and commissioned a lighting control system for the Closed Center of Merksplas (CIM) on behalf of lighting manufacturer NOVILUM bv, which is located on the Merksplas-Kolonie domain.
The CIM functions as a closed center housing asylum seekers whose asylum application has been rejected and persons who have never initiated an administrative procedure to obtain a residence permit. They stay there temporarily pending their repatriation.

Solution
A Loxone Gateway Client system was chosen here, in which a central Miniserver functions as a Gateway for managing the other Miniservers that are linked as Clients in the various buildings on this extensive site. The backbone is a fiber optic network that provides communication between the six buildings.
Each Miniserver is responsible for controlling a group of DALI lighting fixtures on the perimeter of the domain. Local and central operation is possible.
