Challenge
Sabine, the owner of the Sabine ice cream parlor, was looking for a better way to control his shop. Even in a small ice cream parlour many things can go wrong. Sabine also required for the app and interfaces to be simple and intuitive. In addition, the recording of temperatures was also integrated to comply with the HACCP protocol, allowing useful monitoring.
Solution
Loxone has been implemented in the ice cream parlour, to control temperature in the 18 cold rooms, in the display cases and in the laboratory where ice cream flavours are created. It is obviously essential to understand if something has gone wrong in the ice cream parlour, as well as to be promptly informed if this is the case eg the temperature changing. Temperatures are further also automatically recorded in an Excel file. This simple solution is excellent for convenient monitoring.
Even in an ice cream parlour it is normal for the temperature to fluctuate slightly: if for a long period the temperatures do not change, not even slightly, it is assumed that there may be a problem eg the temperature sensor does not signal even the smallest change because it has broken, blocked or stopped working. Therefore, an automated alert would be sent if there was no slight temperature changes over a set period of time, so that people can check that the sensors are still working.
Furthermore, the security of the shop has also been entrusted to Loxone: the alarm and anti-intruder system are completed with an external siren equipped with a flashing light and the call service - and an alarm system has been implemented inside the shop. Which warns Sabine of intruders or power cuts in the ice cream parlour.

For the customer's needs, the use of the Miniserver with 1-Wire sensors was the perfect way to carry out this project. Thanks to the numerous programming possibilities, it was possible to satisfy all his requests. Since the Miniserver and the call service were already included in the project, a presence detector was also installed - and voilà, the alarm system was also implemented in the ice cream parlour. This is what makes building an automation solution with Loxone fun!
