With the renovation of the Post Inn, Loxone technology was also installed and has since supported inn owners and employees in everyday life. In a hospitality business, there are numerous possibilities for automation. At Gasthof Post, this potential was exploited - from temperature control, pool control or lighting in the restaurant and rooms to music control. An important aspect of this project was the automatic opening and closing of the entrance door to the restaurant, as well as supplier and staff access. In addition, the Gasthof Post relies on green energy and produces it itself with the existing photovoltaic system.

The temperature in the refrigeration and freezer rooms is constantly monitored and recorded. If the temperature in either room is too high or too low, the owner is immediately notified via push notification and call to their smartphone. In addition to the access of the employees, the working time is also recorded with Loxone. Furthermore, lighting and temperature are controlled in an optimized way and thus helps to save electricity. Especially when a guest room is not occupied or a guest leaves the room and forgets to close the window. Then the temperature is automatically lowered. In the Loxone app you can see at any time how much electricity is produced, fed in or consumed.
