Ave Maria Foundation - Sitges

The Ave Maria Foundation in Sitges is an organization with more than three decades of experience dedicated to the care and development of adults with disabilities. In its constant commitment to innovation and the improvement of its facilities, it has carried out an ambitious technological modernization project in the workshop building.



Thanks to the implementation of an intelligent automation and control system based on Loxone, the foundation has optimized key aspects such as access to the facilities, air conditioning, ventilation, and lighting, ensuring greater security, energy efficiency, and comfort for users and staff.

Smart Access and Elevator Control:



One of the main advances has been the implementation of a smart access system using NFC Code Touch keypads and NFC wristbands. This system allows for controlled and personalized management of the building's different areas, restricting access to authorized personnel only. Furthermore, the elevator is also integrated into this system, allowing its use only to those with an authorized NFC wristband, which reinforces security and prevents misuse.



Automated HVAC and Lighting:



Thanks to the automation of HVAC and lighting, the building's comfort and energy consumption have been optimized. The system allows:

- Remote and scheduled control of Panasonic air conditioners, adjusting the temperature according to occupancy and ambient conditions.

- Intelligent lighting management, adapting the intensity according to activity and time of day, reducing unnecessary consumption.



Ventilation and Air Quality:



Automated ventilation control ensures optimal air quality, a key aspect in enclosed spaces. Air quality sensors automatically activate renewal systems when necessary, ensuring a healthy environment and minimizing energy consumption.



Connection to the Fire Alarm Control Panel and Evacuation Routes:



As part of the technological integration, the Loxone automation system has been linked to the fire alarm control panel. If activated, the system automatically unlocks the evacuation route doors and stops ventilation, preventing the spread of smoke and facilitating the quick and safe exit of occupants.



Automated Blind Control:



The system also includes automated blind management, which can only be activated using approved NFC wristbands. This prevents tampering and allows for precise regulation of natural light, improving both comfort and energy efficiency.
