Challenge
A luxury-branded apartment by Four Seasons at the new modern city center of Marrakech; M Avenue. As delivered to the owners, these units fell far short of true "smart-home" functionality. Not only were the systems extremely buggy due to improper hardware installation, they also did not include any automation nor climate control.
Fortunately, the original integrator did get one thing right; a Loxone Mini-Server (gen-1) had been deployed.

Solution
First, we were able to debug the installation related hardware errors using the Loxone logger. The owner had been suffering from random lights switching on or off and unresponsiveness to wall switch inputs. The root cause was found to be due to improper adherence to the wiring protocols specified for KNX control bus wiring.
Next, we added an automatic front door lock, secondary motorized curtain rails per window (for separate sheer and blackout), door and window sensors, centralized the climate control via the Loxone Miniserver, and optimized several moods and automations.
