The Glaus & Kappeler AG company building needed to be state-of-the-art while simultaneously offering maximum energy efficiency, comfort, and security.

The challenge lay in intelligently integrating all building systems—lighting, access control, audio, heating, shading, cooling, and energy management, including the photovoltaic system and storage—into a unified system.

It was particularly important that all functions could be centrally controlled, work together automatically, and be monitored transparently at all times. In addition, the self-consumption optimization of the photovoltaic system needed to be actively managed and made visible.

The entire company building has been fully automated with LOXONE. All functions are integrated into a central, intelligent building automation system:

Intelligent lighting control with presence and daylight dependency

Access control for employees and defined access areas

Multi-room audio for different zones

Automated heating, cooling, and shading control

Intelligent energy management with prioritization of energy consumers

Monitoring and optimization of the photovoltaic system, including storage integration

Through the intelligent integration of all components, self-consumption is maximized, peak loads are reduced, and the energy flow is transparent and traceable at all times. The system operates largely autonomously and increases comfort, efficiency, and security throughout the entire building.
