Reconstruction of a family house

Challenge

In 2011, a young couple began the renovation of an older family home. Among other things, new electrical installations were required. This offered the opportunity to look around for new technologies, in addition to classic power distribution. The requirements were primarily for lighting control, heating control, temperature and energy consumption monitoring, electronic security, etc. In 2026, the system was expanded to include an audio server

Solution

The basic solution was a miniserver ver. I, extended with an extension, DMX for lighting control, 1-wire for temperature sensors and an access reader. Subsequently, an audio server, Tree extensions and replacement of switches from DI to tree, and RGBW dimmers were added. The Miniserver was also replaced with a new version for remote access.

At the time of the renovation, the Loxone system seemed to be the best candidate on the market based on price and benefit for this building, and it remains so today.
