Challenge
The client, Exhale Salon, was moving into a new building and required a building automation solution to assist them in establishing a truly unique full-service beauty salon and spa. Each massage therapist had specific lighting requirements that had to be tailored to their workspace. Additionally, the layout of the building required access to the back door of the spa, which couldn't be seen and monitored from the cashier area. Therefore, implementing a secure access control system was crucial to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
Solution
We installed color-changing LED lights along the hallway leading to the private areas of the spa. Inside each of the spa rooms, we integrated ceiling trough lighting to serve as exit lighting leading back out into the main salon area. Additionally, we installed an access control system on the back door, allowing the receptionist to remotely unlock the door as needed. These enhancements not only improved the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the spa, but also helped ensure security and convenience for both the staff and clients of Exhale Salon.
I chose Loxone for this project because our first order of business was to find a secure access control system for the elevator in this building. There are three floors and three tenets and the elevator had to be secure for each of them. Once fully completed, the third-floor customer will also have accent lighting, locks on spots, and all of the window treatments, as well as the audio system, will be fully controlled by Loxone.
