Energy saving in the office

Energy efficiency plays a major role in designing a modern office. Traditional lighting and audio often result in high consumption and energy costs. The challenge was therefore clear: how could we maintain the same comfort and user experience, but with significantly lower energy consumption?

When designing this office, we deliberately chose LOXONE 24V lighting and LOXONE speakers. The result is an environment that is not only comfortable and user-friendly, but also much more energy-efficient.

One of the greatest advantages of 24V lighting is its dimming efficiency. While conventional lighting often consumes almost the same amount of power at lower light intensities, 24V significantly reduces energy consumption. The more you dim, the greater the savings. With 24V lighting, you can enjoy comfort and ambiance every day while also consistently saving energy.

The difference is also clearly noticeable in terms of audio. In this scenario, external speakers consume over 84 kWh per month, while the LOXONE speakers require only 13.7 kWh. This is thanks to the optimized internal amplification and smart control, which ensure the system only uses energy when necessary. The result is not only an annual savings of €254, but also reduced installation complexity and better integration into the overall building solution.

The figures from this project speak for themselves:

- Lighting → from 262.11 kWh to 66.4 kWh per month, a savings of 74.6% or €704 per year.

- Audio → from 84.48 kWh to 13.7 kWh per month, a saving of €254 per year on the bill.

Together, this results in almost €1,000 in annual savings, without sacrificing lighting quality or sound experience.
