Drapery Street

The client, Drapery Street, had a vision for the integration of intelligent window-covering controls for their showroom – a system that would offer a hands-on experience, allowing visitors to walk through and interact with their products in an immersive way. As a Hunter Douglas retailer, they wanted to showcase window coverings in various lighting conditions and times of day to highlight their aesthetics and versatility. Additionally, the showroom needed to demonstrate how these window coverings could seamlessly integrate into an automation system, highlighting their control capabilities. This approach was crucial in illustrating how window coverings could enhance both the aesthetic and functionality of any space.

We implemented Loxone automation solutions to manage the tunable overhead white lighting as well as the backlit shading vignettes in the showroom. This setup enables demonstrations of various times of the day and seasons, showcasing different lighting color temperatures and how the clients window treatments respond to them. Additionally, the installed Loxone system can initiate a “presentation mode” when someone enters the space, thanks to the integrated presence sensor.



Further, the showroom's Loxone Audio Server complements the ambiance of the sales floor, creating the perfect atmosphere for guests as they arrive. Visitors can interact with the Flex Touch Switches manually to see multiple shades move to their desired positions, offering a hands-on experience that demonstrates the versatility and convenience of automated shading solutions.
