The Most Intelligent Heating System

Challenge
The client wanted an energy-efficient home where heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy management worked together intelligently. Particular emphasis was placed on the optimal use of a central heat pump, which would supply the underfloor heating, pool heating, and room cooling. At the same time, photovoltaic yields and variable electricity tariffs were to be automatically taken into account to optimize energy consumption.
Solution
The combination of LOXONE and Hoval has resulted in a holistic solution for heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy management. The Hoval heat pump supplies the underfloor heating, the fan coil units for room cooling, and the pool heating via separate heating and cooling circuits. The residential ventilation system automatically ensures optimal air quality and humidity control.
The entire system was seamlessly integrated into LOXONE via the Modbus interface. The system takes into account occupancy, excess PV power, and current electricity prices to provide hot water and heating energy as efficiently as possible. All energy flows are transparently visualized and can be analyzed at any time.
The result is a comfortable and largely autonomous home that combines high living comfort with intelligent energy management and maximum energy efficiency.
