Challenge
Completely renovate the old Šumava cottage so that its original character is preserved and at the same time it allows for comfortable use in the modern spirit of the 21st century.
Solution
All technologies in the cottage are unified in the Loxone system, which ensures that the cottage always has a comfortable temperature upon arrival and that it takes care of itself in the harsh mountain environment when it is empty. Loxone guards the cottage, including closing the shutters, gates and doors, monitors humidity and possible flooding in the cellar. It controls the heating with a heat pump using radiators and underfloor heating. It dims the lighting using Dali lights and LED strips, as well as old original chandeliers. It controls the audio throughout the house and much more.
At first glance, nothing is noticeable, because everything works automatically, it is controlled by classic switches with a rotary switch, or by a Touch surface tree button hidden in the worktop, which only the owners know about.
The cottage also includes a log cabin with a sauna and a jacuzzi, which is also remotely controlled by Loxone.

The owner had a clear idea of using modern technologies in the renovation, but with the condition of preserving the original appearance of the classic Šumava cottage. After a joint meeting, we came to the conclusion that Loxone was the right solution. He now uses the cottage much more, because he can set it up exactly as he needs it using the Loxone app.
