Challenge
The P 46 building in Prague's Karlín district aims to make the preparation and operation of meetings and presentations easy. The conference centre opened in 2019 in the basement of the building. It utilises state-of-the-art sliding walls, allowing companies to customise their space with their own designs. Smart building automation was clearly the way forward to tie the conference centre together, allowing for ease of use and great flexibility of features in the space.
Solution
The installation allows the Loxone system to control the automatic heating, ventilation, lighting and sound system of the conference centre.
The flexibility required by the conference centre has been realised with Loxone too, allowing the administrator to easily unify or divide the settings of individual areas - according to the adaption of sliding hanging walls - via the app. The app has been a great tool for the conference centre as it allows all members of staff who are responsible for the space to have control either locally or remotely via the app. Although Loxone minimises manual interference by operating fully autonomously, if minimal control from staff is needed (or they want to change any settings) they can edit component functions via the app.
One particular favourite of staff for the conference centre is the lighting. The lighting is automated to turn on and off upon arrival and departure, and the shared conference corridor changes light intensity according to the time of day, which also contributes to energy savings. Along with this, when the staff click ‘all-out’ mode, all forgotten electronics that have been left on switch off.

We can optionally change the size of the rooms. Using the Loxone system allows us to make the most of this flexibility.
