Challenge
In this project, it was clear at the beginning of the planning phase that a smart control system should be integrated.
Shading, heating via heat pump, PV system, ventilation with active cooling, light control including access and monitoring system should come with as few apps as possible.
The lighting should be a combination of indirectly installed light with spots - as clean as possible, but with an emphasis on detail. The sound system should be powerful, but visually unobtrusive.
During the construction phase, a few additional requirements arose. Installation of stripes in furniture, an invisible surround sound system, switching off the extractor hood and ventilation using a differential pressure monitor when the fireplace is heated, irrigation control depending on the weather forecast.
Additions were also made after moving in: A 50kWh PV storage system makes the house with heat pump completely self-sufficient through the brighter half of the year, soil moisture sensors significantly improve the irrigation result, a Loxone wallbox has replaced the non-integrable Porsche charging solution.

Solution
The operation via the Loxone Touch Pure was a pleasure from the start and was also implemented in large rooms with a single Touch Pure. Motion detectors in every room enable a very high degree of automation. Keyless access was implemented using a fingerprint system on all access doors. The system does not open directly, but transmits the recognized user to the Loxone, which enabled us to implement logging and further checking of access time.
External motion detectors, the Hoval heat pump and ventilation as well as the smoke alarm control panel were connected via KNX. Soil moisture sensors via Modbus RTU. All other components could be implemented directly using Loxone board resources.
We have consistently implemented the lighting in the house with 24V LEDs and Loxone RGBW dimmers. For basic lighting, recessed spotlights WW in every room, LED strips for indirect light and to create effects. Outdoor lights were also equipped with dimmers to achieve the maximum feel-good effect on the terrace. Bright when grilling, cozy when having a beer.
The sound system was also implemented with Loxone. The Loxone system is centrally located in the basement, supported by multi-channel amplifiers for premium speakers from KEF integrated directly into the concrete ceiling. Almost invisible, but still powerful in sound. The surround system with an invisibly installed subwoofer is also integrated into the Loxone. A custom-made soundbar integrated into the furniture completes the system.
The garden irrigation uses soil moisture sensors, weather forecasts from the Loxone weather service and an ultrasonic sensor to monitor the cistern fill level. The irrigation itself is carried out automatically via Loxone by activating the pressure submersible pump and opening the valves. If the cistern level is too low, it is automatically refilled with house water.
Loxone is also responsible for many things in terms of energy: regulating the ventilation, also depending on CO2 sensors in the living room and bedroom. Controlling all actuators, the cooling register for the ventilation, monitoring the heat pump. The PV system with Fronius inverter and Victron ESS system is also integrated in the Loxone. A 50kWh battery with the 17kWp PV system ensures a high degree of self-sufficiency and even enables the electric car to be charged in the evening and the heat pump to be supplied at night. The wall box and heat pump are optimized with the Loxone energy manager and run with priority before PV power is fed in early.
The house is secured via the Loxone alarm function by integrating all available motion detectors, window and door contacts and other sensors. Water sensors also provide early alarms if water leaks into the integrated bathtub or in the utility room or kitchen. Smoke detectors are not from Loxone for design reasons, but have nevertheless been connected via a central interface. This means that you can be informed when smoke is detected even when you are out and about.

Our customers don't have to make operating and monitoring their technology a hobby - Loxone does it automatically. Special functions such as pressure difference monitoring are also transmitted and visualized via Loxone. This enabled us to create a fully integrated smart home.
