As part of a comprehensive renovation of the existing building technology, the focus was on modernizing the lighting. The entire lighting installation was to be converted to energy-efficient LED lamps, which should be dimmable in groups - and without any flickering. In addition, automated control of the blinds and shutters was required in order to maximize comfort and energy efficiency. The integration of a bell control and the control of the heating system with the option of automatically receiving push messages in the event of a fault posed further challenges. Simple operation via classic buttons and extended event control via a touchscreen panel, coupled to an existing media control solution, were also to be implemented.

The Loxone Smart Home solution was used to meet the high demands on functionality and user-friendliness. With the Loxone Relay Extension and the Loxone Dimmer Extension, all of the lighting could be intelligently controlled and optimally adapted to the needs of the residents. Thanks to the API interface, a customized media control system was integrated, which enables seamless event control via an in-house plugin. This makes it possible to control complex scenarios easily via the touchscreen panel. The entire solution not only offers maximum ease of use, but also the security that notifications are sent immediately if there are any faults in the heating system. This not only makes the home smarter, but also safer and more comfortable.
