Challenge
A comprehensive automation system was installed in a lovingly renovated farmhouse, now used as a holiday resort. The goal was to combine modern automation with a traditional ambience – with a particular focus on energy efficiency, comfort, and security.

The control and automation of several systems was the focus of the task:

• Heating
• Alarm system and access control
• Heat pump and photovoltaics with energy optimization
The particular challenge was to create a system that is both intuitive for guests and functional for operators and employees – while requiring as little operating effort as possible.

The particular challenge was to create a system that is both intuitive for guests and functional for operators and employees – while requiring as little operating effort as possible.
Solution
For ease of use, traditional push buttons were installed, allowing lighting and blinds to be controlled without prior technical knowledge – a clear advantage for holiday guests. These were complemented by Room Comfort Sensors in every room, allowing finely tuned room temperature control.
Blinds are automated via relay outputs and can also be manually adjusted. New gen Loxone Valve Actuators are used for the heating, ensuring continuous, zone-by-zone control.
In addition to automatic lighting control, Presence Sensors also perform a security-related function: They are an integral part of the implemented alarm system.
The locking system was implemented using an NFC Code Touch, allowing individual access rights to be assigned to guests and employees – including time-limited access controls. This significantly simplifies the management of the accommodation.
The photovoltaic system and the heat pump are intelligently integrated into the Loxone system and ensure maximum energy efficiency through demand- and sun-position-controlled processes.
