I am trying to set up individual night modes for guests and older children. I have set up a switch block in the spare bedroom and created an operating mode called "Night bed 2"
But when I try to connect the Night bed 2 Operating mode to the switch block output, the little green dot is on the right hand end of the operating mode and so it will not connect to the Q output of the switch. Am I missing something here? How do I connect? In all the tutorials it shows the green dot on the left hand edge so it connects easily.

Operating modes, like memory flags, have an input and an output.
What you have there is the input. You need to find the output – it will have been created when you created that operating mode and have an orange dot on the left – going from memory as not at a computer right now.
