The Forum: The Grand Opening

We are incredibly excited to officially announce the Grand Opening of Loxone UK’s brand new office, showroom, training facilities and warehouse – The Forum.

The Loxone journey in the UK

First we must start off by providing some context of Loxone in the UK over the years that has led us to this point. In 2012 Loxone rented their first UK offices in Wyvols Court, following growth we moved to renting Theale Lakes in 2015 and in 2020 we moved again, with the Loxone Group purchasing The Forum building. This scaling up has always aligned with the growth and success of the UK market, as the number of Partners and the UK team continues to grow. The company has continued to show excellent growth year on year and this new display of commitment from Loxone to the UK market will no doubt strengthen this path. This success is thanks to everyone involved with Loxone and not just the team but Partners and consumers as well.

Turning to the building itself, the space has not just lived up to everyone’s expectations but has absolutely smashed them, 2 years after purchasing the building we have finally completed it. With all the criteria for the building being answered and external uncontrollable challenges like COVID delays being overcome, it has culminated in this incredible space for Loxone in the UK for both employees and Partners alike to be proud of.

This success was celebrated in style with the Loxone UK Grand Opening event:

The Big Day…

The afternoon and evening of the 29th September played host to the Grand Opening of Loxone’s new building in the UK which saw around 80 of our top Partners in attendance, including both the local Loxone team, as well as Loxone Founders, Thomas Moser and Martin Öller; CEO, Rüdiger Keinberger; CMO, Florian Woess; and CPO, Andreas Hetzendorfer joining us from Austria. Milan Randl, as regional CEO for Loxone UK, US, CZ, SK and PL flew in from the Czech Republic. And last but not least, we had guest audio guru Benjamin Asche who join us from Quadral.

It wasn’t only Loxonauts who joined from far and wide – we even had some Partners venture out of London to come and see us 😉 Joke aside, it was wonderful to see Partners travelling from all corners of our market including Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Thank you!

…And Into The Night

The evening started off with grabbing a drink and socialising, followed by speeches, tours, a hog roast and then into the evening’s party. The speeches included both the founders giving presentations, including talking about where Loxone (specifically the UK subsidiary) have come from and where Loxone is going as a whole e.g. Loxone campus and even giving a sneaky peak at new confidential hardware and software that is in the pipeline. The Grand Opening was a great illustration of the versatility of Loxone in action, with lighting and music setting the tone for each part of the evening. It sure was a great way to bring the Loxone community together to celebrate and socialise, this was noted particularly by the Loxone team, with the event providing long-awaited face-to-face chats with Partners who are normally on the other end of phone calls or tickets. So it was really great to be able to meet in person after such a long time away.

The drinks were flowing as soon as people started arriving (even before our official start time, which was lovely to see) and that continued through the night and into the early hours of the morning. We were spoilt for choice with food too – from canapés at arrival to a full hog roast for dinner. In between, mini schnitzels and even a big pot of goulash soup made an appearance in the early hours of the morning to keep the party goers fuelled.

The Loxone team couldn’t have wished for a better atmosphere and event, it was the perfect culmination to our 10 month renovation. And of course we would have loved to be able to have all of our Partners there but now we are officially open we hope to see everyone soon anyway!

And the rumours are true – the party only came to an end just before 5am – a pretty good vindication to how great of an event it was!
