Case Studies - Living with Loxone

Everyone has different requirements for their home. Fortunately, Loxone offers countless options for creating the perfect smart home. Have a look through some case studies in which Loxone customers show you what they have done. Get inspired by their homes and then chose the favourite features for your own home.

Elements

The holiday home 'Elements', on the isle of Rügen, was built in 2012. The owner, who lives over 400 miles away, wanted to be able to keep an eye on his house and be able to control a number of functions remotely. So, naturally, he decided to go with Loxone! Since January 2013, holidaymakers have been able to book their Rügen vacations in one of the two beautiful apartments, 'Wind' & 'Water' and enjoy a break in a truly smart home.

Smart Surburbia

This archetypal semi-detached house just outside of Reading in Berkshire may look just like any other UK home from the outside, but inside it’s another matter entirely. The interior of this Home Counties home has been transformed by a dynamic young couple into a super swish Smart Home. They wanted to ensure that their place was as automated and smart as possible, without it losing its traditional, homely feel.

The Brown Box

This detached family home, just a 10 minute walk outside the busy town center, was rebuilt on the foundations of an old 1960s house in 2008 and is an eye-catcher, both inside and out. As the owner was not happy with the initial KNX installation, everything under the hood was replaced in 2011 with the finest technology Loxone has to offer.

Schapartment

The property developers had this flat conventionally wired when it was built, with no provision for automation or smart control. When the first tenants moved into the property in December 2011 they were impressed with modern style and the latest passive house technology, but not with the lack of smart automation. After a little research they decided to upgrade it with Loxone!

Lighthouse

The owners moved into their new family home in December 2011. Whilst the clean lines and large windows let the property appear plain from the outside, the interior is all but plain and the attention to detail is remarkable. It is not only the natural light that streams through the large windows that gave this house its name, but also the coloured LEDs.

Holz Fesl

"Holz Fesl, a supplier of high quality wood products, is just a stones throw from Loxone's headquaters in Kollerschlag. Just like their business, their company building has been built up entirely with wood and is completely controlled by Loxone's Miniserver - just going to show how versatile a piece of kit it really is."

Panorama House

Overlooking the rooftops of the small market town Rohrbach and the surrounding countryside the Wiesner family built their home. Owner Mr. Wiesner took an active part in planning and tweaking the installation, so that their Miniserver is like a butler - always at hand, but never to be seen. The functions were tailored to fit the exact requirements of this young family, whilst keeping the system interaction truly simple.

The Heated House

We decided to install the Loxone Miniserver in our home to control our heating system. Our house measures a roomy 110m ² but is quite an old building and was extremely inefficient when it came to energy and in particular, heating. Constantly changing the individual temperatures of the rooms in the house was a real chore and it was near impossible to heat any room completely to our liking. Thanks to Loxone we got the issue under control immediately and increased the comfort of our family home tenfold.
