Built 135 years ago by Josep Amargós i Samaranch as part of the buildings for the 1888 Universal Exposition, this place is much more than just a botanical space. Today, it is protected as a local cultural treasure, and it's not hard to see why.



Within its walls, you'll find a true sanctuary of nature, housing an astounding array of over a hundred species of plants, each with its own botanical and agricultural charm. This greenhouse is much more than just a place to care for plants, it is a living showcase that shares priceless plant collections with the public.



But it is not only the history and diversity that makes this place special, its practical function is also impressive. Side and overhead windows open and close to control the temperature, while a neutralizer maintains the perfect humidity for plant growth.

Thanks to the installation of the Miniserver and its extensions, we can exercise precise control over the greenhouse environment in the park. From adjusting the window motors to regulating the air and water solenoid valves for the nebulizer, we have taken a giant leap forward in the care of our plants.



With this technology, the parks and gardens team can continuously monitor the conditions inside the greenhouses. Does the temperature need to be adjusted? Does the humidity need to be increased or decreased to meet the needs of our plants? No problem! Everything can be adjusted with just a few clicks, giving plants the perfect environment to grow.



But that's not all: we've gone one step further by installing a weather station that synchronizes with our system. Now, when it rains or the wind blows hard, our windows work automatically, adapting to the needs of the moment to protect and keep the plants happy.



All this has been possible thanks to programming that takes into account a variety of variables and the result is incredible."
