Challenge
Recently, we had the opportunity to work with the owner of the Hanza Hotel, who asked us for assistance due to unusually high electricity bills. during an on-site inspection, we found that although the central energy systems, including the gas boiler room, ventilation and air conditioning, were set correctly, there was still potential for optimization to reduce energy consumption. In order to solve the problem in a targeted manner, we first carry out a detailed analysis to understand how the current systems work and identify possible causes for the high consumption. A comprehensive energy audit provides information on potential savings in energy generation and use. Based on the audit results, we develop tailored optimization and modernization proposals to sustainably increase the hotel's energy efficiency.
In addition, an intelligent monitoring system is implemented that continuously monitors and optimizes energy consumption and room temperature. In addition, the hotel staff will be familiarized with the new systems through targeted training in order to make optimum use of additional savings potential.
These measures will not only enable the hotel to significantly reduce energy consumption, but also cut operating costs in the long term - a win-win situation for hotel operators, guests and the environment.
Solution
The time has finally come - the modernization of the energy supply system at Hotel Hanza is progressing successfully!A central step was the redesign of the circuit diagram, in which all devices were equipped with a modern control system based on Loxone automation. In order to monitor energy consumption precisely, eight network analyzers were installed to enable continuous recording of electricity consumption.
In addition, a detailed analysis of the refrigeration systems was carried out in order to optimize their efficiency and reduce unnecessary energy consumption. Particular attention was paid to achieving the highest possible energy savings. Another important step was the simulation of a switch to SPOT tariffs, which proved to be extremely profitable and will enable considerable cost savings.
Next on the agenda is the modernization of the boiler room and the central ventilation systems. Using the innovative Loxone system will not only make the hotel more energy efficient, but will also further improve comfort for guests and staff.
Choosing the Loxone system is a key step towards more intelligent and energy-efficient hotel management, which will benefit both us and our guests.
