They had a few special requirements; App control with notifications, Access code control on the same app for easily adding and deleting users as necessary, gate remote control from multiple vehicles from distance and from the house, as well as a video intercom. 





Oh, and it had to be aesthetically pleasing to look at, of course, with a brand-new stone gatehouse and custom iron gate. 





Their property is part of a horse farm and the owner is an avid rider. They wanted to have the ability to allow other riders in the area to access trails on their property. While the gate has loops to allow for vehicle exit, they needed a way for riders to exit the property also. "

1 Fiber Optic cable run from the House to the gate. 





1 Hardened network switch.





1 Compact Mini Server at the gatehouse. 





2 NFC code touches on a dual goose neck mount.





1 Loxone Intercom on double back box (a nice touch and a clean look).





1 Air base station (to facilitate a large antenna for long distance remote.


 


4 Remotes for vehicles.


 


1 Power supply and fuses.


 


1 button for exit on a high goose neck mount. 





1 Loxone iPad wall mount and iPad in house.





As the project was wrapping up they asked if the Loxone system could control the lights at the building and the low voltage landscape lights as well. This late-stage request was easily handled with Loxone solutions and required an additional:





1 Nano air relay.


 


1 Touch for Nano and connection to the Compact mini server relay and 2 for the landscape lights.





All said and done, the owner was very pleased with the look of the system and the ease with which codes can be changed and added or deleted. The alerts are prefect and they asked to have the intercom proximity sensor ring the bell as well as intercom calls; easily done with Loxone. 





They like the system so much that they are considering replacing some Lutron equipment in the main house with Loxone automation systems."
