Solution
The project installed seven photovoltaic power plants on key municipal buildings with a total capacity of 119.98 kWp. Each plant was designed to meet the specific energy requirements of each building and maximise the use of the electricity generated. To ensure the most efficient use of energy, a Loxone Miniserver was integrated into the system to manage the generation, distribution and consumption of electricity between the buildings.
As a result:
✅ We minimise overflows to the distribution network and maximise energy use directly in the community.
✅ We share surplus energy between buildings - for example, surplus electricity from the community centre is used in the nursing home.
✅ We dynamically regulate the consumption according to the actual needs of each building.
The Loxone Miniserver was placed in the community centre and the nursing home, where it acts as the central control unit for the entire system.
The project involved a complete turnkey delivery, including technical design, installation and integration into the municipal infrastructure. The implementation also included all electrical installation works, optimization of the buildings' consumption and interconnection of the system with the distribution network.
Thanks to this smart energy management, the municipality is now significantly reducing its operating costs, increasing self-sufficiency and managing energy efficiently, which is an inspiration for other municipalities.
