Challenge
For the owners of the Steinke + Zils architecture firm, it was important to have as little control as possible in the new premises. From the shading to the lighting to the alarm system, everything was to be automated.Solution
In addition to the façade lighting, the work areas were indirectly illuminated and the interior core was equipped with LED strips. This creates a perception of depth in the rooms even at night. In the Open Workspace, lighting is controlled by presence - in the individual rooms by motion detectors. The lighting in the outdoor area is controlled on the one hand by a timer, and on the other hand it is adjusted according to sunrise and twilight - as are the billboard and the orientation light. When the first employee opens the main entrance door in the morning using NFC Code Touch and NFC Key Fob, the alarm system is deactivated.
A very special function in the smart architecture office is the energy-efficient temperature control: If the outside temperature is at least 5°C colder than inside, the ventilation runs between 00:00 and 06:00. At night, the cool air is thus used to cool the building and ensure the optimum comfortable temperature the next day.
In addition to the holistic nature of the Loxone system, the automated alarm system is also an absolute highlight in this project. No one has to worry about turning the alarm on or off.
