Switch Miniserver to New Router

Hello Experts

Will need a quick help

Miniserver is wired directly to router. With old router all works fine .

But when wired to new router , server is not recognised by new router.

I guarantee no fault with connection nor router , as all other devices got reconnected to the new router except miniserver.

Can somebody help please with instructions how to fix it.

I moved the wired connection to new router but I cannot see the Miniserver in connected devices.

Unless it’s visible how can I change IP addresses etc.

Thanks a lot for your help

Need a bit more info.

Most likely to do with the router IP address and DHCP range. Subnet will most likely be 255.255.255.0 on both.

if you don’t have this info, then at least provide old and new router makes (assumming they are different).

Hi Ashok

I concur with Prem, your Miniservver will have been set to an IP range on your previous router that is on a different subnet to your new router.

You can actually resolve this fairly simply, you will need to have the Miniserver connected to your new router, you will need to know the MAC address/serial number of the Miniserver (printed on the back of it), and an IP address in the correct range of your new router.

Step 1:

Open up Loxone config, and create a new project. Miniserver type, name etc… are unimportant. Also power cycle your Miniserver as this can only be done within the first hour of power up.

Step 2:

In the new project, select the Miniserver within the middle pane, then at the ribbon at the top there is an option to ‘Configure Miniserver’, select this.

Step 3:

Enter the serial number of your Miniserver without colons, as well as the IP details you want it to be and press send. The Miniserver will reboot and take the new IP adress settings.
