pairing air actuator problem

I have an installation with 4 air actuators. One actuator went ‘offline’ several hours after a battery change. It now refuses to pair. First the led flashes amber – meaning (I think) that the device has lost connection to the air extension. The other actuators are fine. So, I’ve tried to force it to re-pair – get the flashing red, green, amber led. But the device is not found in device search. I have since deleted the device, created a new air device and again tried to pair again. But again device not found. And the device is within 3 metres of the air antena.

Any ideas how I break this deadlock?

Hi John

As you are having specific issues with your installation I would suggest you contact Loxone Technical Support who will be able to assist directly. This forum is for users and installers of Loxone systems to share ideas and expertise rather than a support channel to Loxone directly. If you are unsure of the contact details for support in your region you can email [email protected]

For assistance with others who may be experiencing similar issues, RF can be a bit of a fickle beast and a device in the line of sight of the antenna may be interferring with the signal even though the device is in close proximity. Otherwise if you have a high gain antenna installed this actuator may actually be in the deadspot of the RF range. Here is another forum that nicely explains this https://www.cwnp.com/forums/posts?Dead-spots-on-high-gain-antennas-120185

Within Config you can use the Device Status option to see the relative signal strength on a device, and for more indepth information right click on the device inside the Device Status and Show Air Path.
