Boiler running with no heating demand

This has always been an issue as far as I know since the climate controller came into play. The H (linked to boiler) stays on for ages even when there is no heating demand.

Up to now, apart from increased gas consumption, it has not been an issue since I’ve only been dealing with system/combi boilers which allow for this. This has been the case in each install using the climate controller block.

I currently have the please of working with a 1980s, gravity fed boiler. No pump, etc.

Whilst I am controlling the pump manually and running it for 10 minutes (switch off delay block) after the boiler has switched off, the boiler doesn’t switch off for ages even when there is no heating demand. I have reduced the TPoff parameter to minimum (180) but has appeared to not make any difference. Result – boiler has to be reset 2-3 times a day.

Photo enclosed of heating demand from app. Liveview in config confirms this.

How is everybody else dealing with this quirk of the climate controller block, or am I special?

Hi Prem,

for this one I would recommend logging a ticket with support and attaching your config file and a quick diagram of the heating layout so we can help you directly.

Thanks
