Audioserver initial (factory settings) IP address

There is a problem to connect Audioserver to my Miniserver. Miniserver software version is 11.1.9.14

Miniserver is connected to my router. Audioserver is connected to the same router through ordinary switch. Network – 172.XXX.XXX.XXX

When I push the icon \"Audioserver Search\" in Loxone Config, the window \"Music Server search\" (not audioserver!) is being opened and after a few minutes searching process stops. Audioserver is not detected.

I have installed Audioserver update on SD card using LOXONE config: \"Add audioserver\" -> \"SD Card\" -> \"Format SD Card\" -> \"Load Firmware\" – (2.4.11.19) -> Format – Successful.

It is written that I could use Audioserver Web interface. But initial (factory settings) IP address of Audioserver is unknown! I could not find it in Loxone documentation.

Using third party software I could identify only MAC address of Audioserver.

Hi Alexander

The Audioserver should get a DHCP address by default, hence no default IP. If it is failing to get a correct DHCP address then it is very easy to correct.

Within 1 hour of power up you can send a broadcast to update the address, to do this power cycle the Audioserver and make a note of its serial number (printed on a sticker on the back).

Then within config, under the Audioserver option in the periphery list select Configure Audioserver at the top ribbon.

From here enter the serial number of the Audioserver, the IP address details you would like it to have and then Apply and send. After about a minute the Audioserver will be available on this address and available to find when connected to your Miniserver.

Hi Hugh! Thank you very much for your answer an sorry for delay with my answer.

Before your message I have already resolved the problem. My router blocked pairing signals of audioserver. So I excluded my miniserver an audioserver from my network (disconnected from my router) and connected both devices to ordinary network switch. I have connected my notebook to the same switch with a static IP (the same range as miniserver’s address). Audioserver was sucesssfuly found and added. I have set static IP address in Audioserver in the range of my network and connect both devices to my router back. Now it is working normally.

As a wish I would like to ask You to add the text of your answer to Audioserver documentation. My router’s model and brand are very popular, so I think that your explanations could be useful for many of your clients.
