Information on collecting and using statistics about your installation
With the Miniserver, you can record any measurements, switching statuses etc. and summarise the results using statistics.
The recorded values can then be represented graphically in the apps, exported as .csv files or displayed on the internet.
If the SD card is full, no more statistics are recorded and the recorded data is not overwritten. By accessing the FTP files through a FTP client individual records can be deleted to free up space.
For every input, output and most function blocks there is a tick box called 'Statistics' in the properties. The values can be measured according to certain criteria. For digital inputs and outputs, the only option is to be on or off so there is no selection box.
The options in the selection box are:
- Every change
- Each change (maximum of one value per minute, the value at the start of the minute is used)
- Average over 1 minute
- Average over 5 minutes
- Average over 10 minutes
- Average over 30 minutes
- Average over 1 hour
If the value continually increases, for example energy consumption, you can tick the box called 'Differential recording' which will record the change in value rather than the total value.
If you have selected the option 'Every change', inputs which change their value or switching state very often will result in a large amount of writing to the SD card. This can lead to a high CPU/SD card load.
To prevent this, record averages over a set period of time. Digital inputs are therefore of limited use with statistics.
You can also choose to have the statistics emailed to you. You can choose the frequency of the emails, which is either to not send emails, send them daily, weekly or monthly.
To have the emails sent setup a mailer and then choose this mailer in the drop down box.
Viewing the statistics
There are several ways to view the statistics you have recorded. The simplest way is on the apps or webinterface as when you have ticked the statistics box and there is data available you will be able to see graphs of the data. You can also view graphs of the data in Loxone Config and from there download csv files to use. Finally you can pull the xml files of the data from a web browser with http commands.
Statistics are shown in three different ways:
There are basically three different types of statistics:
|Trend||Points are directly connected lines in a line graph||For example with temperatures|
|Accumulative||The difference between two points is shown as a bar chart||With the Utility meter for example|
|Step||Values are shown to the change in value with a vertical line||With digital signals for example|
Once you have ticked the statistics box on an input, output or function block in the configuration software an option to click on the input or output in the user interface, or to click on a graphs button inside function blocks will appear. Doing so will open up the graph of the data you have recorded.
Below are two screenshots of the graphs inside the apps. The left is showing statistics recorded for temperature averaged every 30 minutes and shown per day. The right shows the energy graph for the Utility meter block averaged every 30 minutes and shown per day on the app.
In the Miniserver tab of Loxone Config, select 'Download Statistics'. It's from here that you can then export them as a csv file if you wish.
In the box to the uppper left hand corner you can select the range of dates you want to show the statistics over. Automatically this is the first date of the month. Then click Load.
All the recorded statistics for inputs and outputs will be shown and by clicking on one of these a graph will be displayed.
The Export button will automatically export the data as a csv file for each input and output. The Ignore analogue 0 values button allows the statistics to hide 0 values.
You can also access the recorded values with the webservice at http://<Miniserver IP>/stats
You will see a list of the statistics where you can then click on them to view the xml files.
Saved statistics files can easily be deleted from the Loxone Config software. To do this click on the Maintenance tab and then choose the Manage SD card option.
This will open a separate window with all the statistics files, logging files, tracking information and update files. You can put a tick in the box next to the various folders to delete the files, the click delete.
Statistics files for the current month are not displayed and cannot be erased.
