Hotel Albrecht

The Hotel Albrecht in the heart of Bratislava wanted to modernize its existing building technology without disrupting ongoing hotel operations with extensive renovations. They sought a solution that would improve comfort, energy efficiency, and security, while requiring no new wiring or major construction work.

In addition to modern lighting controls, the hotel wanted intelligent room temperature control for the heating system and a convenient access solution for guests, staff, and suppliers. Operation was to be as intuitive as possible and require no additional training for hotel staff.

Thanks to LOXONE Air technology, the Hotel Albrecht was able to undergo a complete wireless modernization. The existing lighting system was integrated into the LOXONE system and made centrally controllable – without any new wiring or extensive renovations. Operation is via the familiar LOXONE keypad logic, so neither guests nor staff have to learn new operating concepts.

In addition, the heating control system was modernized. The existing thermostatic radiator valves were replaced with LOXONE actuators, and all rooms were equipped with individual temperature control. This allows temperatures to be monitored centrally and conveniently adjusted via the LOXONE app.

For greater comfort and security, several intercom systems with NFC Code Touch were installed. These enable controlled access for guests, staff, and suppliers, as well as the recording of staff arrival and departure times.

The result is a modern, energy-efficient, and user-friendly building automation system that optimizes hotel operations and demonstrates how easily existing buildings can be retrofitted with LOXONE – without any construction work or new wiring.
