Is my data secure with the LOXONE system?
Yes. At LOXONE, data security is our top priority. All data is processed locally on the Miniserver – that is right inside the building. There is no automatic synchronisation with a cloud and no external storage. This means your data stays where it belongs – in your home.
How does remote access work without the cloud?
LOXONE uses its specially developed Remote Connect Service to provide secure remote access. This allows you to access your smart home settings from anywhere – without third-party tools and without a traditional cloud infrastructure. The connection uses true end-to-end encryption. This means that there is no possible way for your data to be visible on the internet ensuring it remains fully protected.

What do I need for a smart home? What are the requirements?
There are only a few basic requirements needed for a Smart Home: a stable power supply, a properly installed electrical system and optionally a network connection for App access and remote control.
A smart home can be implemented in both new builds and existing homes. Existing installations can often be integrated and expanded step by step.
