New: Loxone App 16.2
Just in time for the holidays, the LOXONE App is receiving a major update, delivering one of the most requested features.
Version 16.2 boasts a fresh design, making the user interface clearer, cleaner, and more modern – and now even accompanies you on the go with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This update is a thank you to all our users and Partners – and a glimpse into the future of the LOXONE App.
A fresh, modern look
We have given the LOXONE App a facelift. The app now looks lighter, clearer and more intuitive. The new tiles make optimal use of the space on your smartphone – so you can see more at a glance and find what you need faster. Icons and colours have also been carefully updated to round off the design.
Your LOXONE building as a co-driver: Apple CarPlay & Android Auto in beta
With support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, your building is now easily accessible on every journey. Safety and comfort are our top priorities. Instead of having to reach for your smartphone while turning into your driveway or asking your passenger to, you can now access many practical functions directly on your vehicle’s display, such as:
- Open the garage door: Simply tap on the infotainment display.
- Deactivate alarm system: Before you even get out of the car.
- Activate scenes: Switch on the exterior lighting or activate the ‘Arriving Home’ mode as you pull up.
Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is currently in beta. For security reasons, functions that are password-protected via the user interface cannot be used in the beta phase.
Pro tip: Customise category colours
With version 16.2, we are adding colour to the categories. Would you like to customise them? It’s very easy to do so:
- Open a category
- Tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner
- Select ‘Interface Settings’
- Tap on ‘Background Colour’
- Pick the accent colour for the category
A glimpse into the future: The Year 2026
This end-of-year update marks not the end, but the beginning. The latest app updates – improveing performance and modernising the design – are just the start! 2026 will be a year with many more app updates: more refinement in design, new features, and continuous improvements to the user experience – for users and Partners alike.
