Want to set the colour of the RGB light directly from the iPhone or check the status of your burglar alarm via a web browser? Loxone Config 3.0 includes many new block functions in both apps and web interface, making operation of your home even easier!
What are block functions?
Block functions provide visualisation elements that are dedicated for a specific purpose and provide tailored control or status displays for these. Whether this is the colour switcher for RGB lights, the enhanced status display for blinds or the dedicated icons for the burglar alarm.
Through the use of block functions these dedicated graphical blocks will automatically be used in visualisation, making it even more informative and easier to use. Whether you use a web browser or the app on your iPhone/iPad or Android device, block functions give you a richer user experience.
Video Podcast: Sauna control via web browser
See it for yourself, we have included a short video podcast where we show the new block function “Sauna control” in action:
We apologize that the commentary of all Podcasts is in German at the moment. We will address this in the coming month and provide all Podcasts with with an English commentary.

How do block functions get configured?
Setting up a block function is done with a few mouse clicks. The adjustment of the web Interface, iPhone, iPad, and Android is fully automatic! Without having to write a single line of code.
To activate a block function, click on the object (e.g. burglar alarm) and assign the properties of "Room" and "Category". If you want the function to be displayed on the homepage, you can set its “Rating” to mark it as a favourite.
