Quick Connection Guide
Network Configuration
Networks with a DHCP server
When connecting for the first time, connect the network adaptor to the network then connect the power supply. The Miniserver will then boot from the inserted MicroSD card which stores all the firmware and user data. Once you've done this, you should be able to see the Miniserver in Windows in the 'Network' folder.
To see the Miniserver in your 'Network' folder, the "automatically search network" function in Windows must be activated.

Connecting to the Miniserver
The Miniserver automatically creates a hostname beginning with 'lxl' and ending with the last 4 digits of its serial number. By double-clicking on the Miniserver, the admin interface will open in your browser - the default username and password are both "admin". You don't need the browser interface for the moment. Once up and running, the Miniserver will get an IP address from your DHCP server. Its time will also be set automatically when a connection to the internet has been established.
Conection problems are often caused by firewalls or antivirus software. If you experience problems, then try disabling your firewall / antivirus and re-connecting.

Networks without a DHCP-Server
To connect directly to your Miniserver, you'll need a crossover Ethernet cable or a Switch/Hub. The default IP address of your Miniserver is 192.168.1.77.
Setting a manual IP address
If there's no DHCP server or router to assign an IP address to the Miniserver, you must set one manually. By default, this should be in the range 192.168.1.x.

Changing the IP address of your Miniserver
If you want to set another IP address for your Miniserver, you can do this in our configuration software. In Loxone Config, click 'Configure Miniserver' under the Maintenance tab.
Assign a static IP-Address
First, enter the MAC address (serial number) of your Miniserver. To manually set an IP address, remove the tick by "Set address automatically". Enter the desired IP address and click Send. Your Miniserver is now assigned to the new IP address.
