Do I need additional cables or wiring?
No. The AC Control Air is mounted directly in the air conditioning system and powered by it. The Miniserver Go only requires a standard power socket and a connection to your router.
Do I have to install or program anything myself?
No. A certified LOXONE Partner will set it up for you – from the hardware to the intelligent control system. If you wish, you can use the app to create your own automations.
Why does a smart control system save energy?
This is primarily related to the running time of your air conditioning system. Roughly speaking, the less the air conditioner runs, the less electricity it consumes. With LOXONE, you can ensure that the air conditioning only runs when it really makes sense. This works, for example, with time schedules, based on your presence, adjusted to the weather or by automatically switching off when the windows are open.
What happens when I am on vacation?
You can easily enter planned absences – such as vacations – in the LOXONE App. The air conditioning system then switches to the desired mode. This means it either stays off completely or ensures that your rooms do not overheat by operating at a minimum.
How much does the smart control system cost?
The costs for the required components – a Miniserver Go and an AC Control Air – are in the mid three-figure range. Only one more AC Control Air is required for each additional indoor unit, which can also be controlled with the same Miniserver. In addition to the costs for the components, there is also the installation and configuration by the LOXONE Partner.
Can I control an existing air conditioning system smartly?
Yes, it doesn’t matter whether the air conditioning system has been running for years or is new.
Which air conditioning systems can be controlled smartly?
Single and multi-split devices from Daikin, Fujitsu, Gree, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Sinclair, Toshiba and LG can be integrated using AC Control Air. You can use the model number to check here whether your air conditioning system is supported.
Do I still need to have my remote control to hand?
No. Your smart air conditioning system runs fully automatically. If you want to intervene yourself, you can use the LOXONE App. This is available for all platforms and devices, such as Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, smartwatches, etc.
If you still want a control element in the room to control the air conditioning system, the Loxone Touch Pure Flex is the best option for you.
Which spot price providers are supported?
Thanks to the direct connection to European and national electricity exchanges, all suppliers are supported.
What is the difference between the LOXONE App and the manufacturers app?
The LOXONE App works cloud-free and you don’t need an account. All your data stays with you. There’s no need for any network-configurations, eliminating room for errors. You don’t need to connect and set up the wifi connection to every AC separately.
Also, the LOXONE App available for all devices and platforms – you can even control your AC with your smart watch for example. The range of functions is far higher as well. Wether it’s for the AC Control (e.g. when controlled based on spot prices) or the whole building: with the LOXONE App you have endless possibilities.
