Challenge
The customer wanted a comprehensive automation solution. Since we were only brought into the project very late in the process, a large part of the automation had to be implemented wirelessly.
Solution
The villa in Düsseldorf was equipped with a comprehensive LOXONE automation solution. Due to the advanced stage of construction, a large part of the implementation was realized using the wireless Air technology. Around 150 Air components enable flexible and customized integration of all building functions, supplemented by individual wired bus components.
The lighting combines DALI luminaires, dimmable light sources, and LED strips into a flexible lighting concept with individually adjustable lighting moods. The automatic shading system reacts to local weather data and reliably protects the building from solar radiation and overheating.
For an optimal indoor climate, underfloor heating, air conditioning units, and an intelligent sun sensor system were networked together. In addition, numerous sensors continuously monitor temperatures, humidity, and the status of windows and doors. The fireplace is also fully integrated: During operation, the ventilation system automatically switches to fireplace mode, and the owner is notified if unusual air quality readings are detected.
The security concept includes alarm systems, keyless access via code or electronic media, and comprehensive monitoring of key building areas. The sauna was also fully implemented with LOXONE, combining heat, light, and audio controls for maximum comfort and safety.
All systems are centrally networked and communicate intelligently with each other. Using the Automation Designer, customers can create custom automations directly in the app and flexibly adapt them to their personal preferences – all without any programming knowledge.
