Planning tips and requirements

We recommend a floor space of at least 600 ft² to be able to effectively demonstrate a wide range of functionality, laid out in different spaces or rooms such as:

Living/Dining/Kitchen area | Bedroom | Bathroom

Plan ahead making sure your space is designed to also host joint events if you’re interested in bringing in prospective customers, designers and builders. By implementing products and demonstrations from the following recommendations, you can effectively show potential customers what living with Loxone might be like:

Touch Standard

For simplest use of lighting, music and shading, we recommend assigning the same functions on each Touch switch. This way, you can demonstrate features in each room the same way – no lables, no confusion!

Lighting

Combine different light fixtures with different colors and intensities to create unqiue lighting moods in each room. The predefined lighting will always adjust itself once presence is detected by sensors. Manually switch between different lighting settings on a Touch switch or customize them on demand in the Loxone App.

To demonstrate discrete night lighting and benefits of Night Mode, we recommend placing LED Strips along the bottom of a bed and a Touch Nightlight on a bedside table.

Room Climate

By incorporating a Room Comfort Sensor and HVAC Damper into the room, you can demonstrate precise heating and cooling settings.

Access Control

Begin a tour using the NFC Code Touch and NFC Key Fob to enter the showroom. By pairing an Intercom at the entrance, you can simulate a visitor experience at the door and in the Loxone App. When the doorbell rings, the Audioserver will control the sound coming through the speakers and, at the same time, the visitor image will become available on your phone or tablet with the app.

Multiroom Audio

As soon as you and your customer enter the room, music will play through the speakers to add a pleasant touch of comfort from room to room. Create customized settings to demonstrate how music, lighting and shading can change when it’s time for movie night.

Security

For every tour demo, we advise setting up a test alarm for instances such as burglary or water leaks. The “Panic Button” feature is also recommended to show customers how a long-hold on the Touch switch can manually trigger an alarm sequence.

Energy

With rising concerns for saving energy, remind customers about simple tips for energy management with the Loxone system. Explain how devices can become monitored and switched on/off.

Shading

Integrate motorized blinds to show customers how shading can be controlled with total flexibility. You can even use shading as part of your security alarm demo.

Wellness

Don’t forget about the outdoors! Even though you might not have a pool or sauna to personally demonstrate, it’s still worth mentioning to customers as a bonus benefit.

Ambient Assisted Living (AAL)

As the demand is growing for Ambient Assisted Living solutions, you can show customers how easy it for Loxone technology to support lifestyles of residents that may be aging or have disabilities. The Button Air or Wrist Button Air are two products that will raise interest in the showroom.

Success With Auto Configuration

A Loxone Partner Showroom should be configured using the “Auto Configure” function on Loxone Config. This ensures that the features in the showroom meet the highest level of customer satisfaction. A Loxone Showroom works best when it is configured to its original settings, without the need for extra programming or customization away from the Loxone Standard. The Loxone Partner Showroom should be an extension of the Loxone brand and always use the latest version of our Config and the Loxone Smart Home App.
