Loxone’s Austrian CEOs Thomas Moser and Martin Öller have been awarded another exciting accolade this week, this time at the Austrian Young Entrepreneur Awards. They finish an impressive third in the main overall category of ‘Best Young Entrepreneur in Austria’. Our top brass bagged the podium finish despite there being more than 1,000 applicants for the award. Thomas and Martin said this of their recognition by the awards’ judges:

"This award Entrepreneur of the Year award really has been the icing on the cake this year. We feel incredibly honoured.”

The business magazine PROFIT were looking for the best young entrepreneurs in the country, across a range of industries and sectors. From high-tech to export, IT & e-commerce to the environment. There was also a prize for ‘Idea of the Year’ and the ‘Best of the Best’. The latter category was the overall category in which Thomas and Martin secured their third prize.

Heading up the judging panel at the award ceremony was Austria’s Economy Minister Reinhold Mitterlehner. Mr. Mitterlehner took a particular interest in Loxone because we’re both from the same part of Austria. Hailing from Rohrbach, the minister is very familiar with our hometown of Kollerschlag and so took particular pride in hearing of our success.

The Economy Minister wasn’t the only dignitary at the event. Austria’s Environment Minister Nikolaus Berlakovich was on hand to dish out some awards too and was extremely interested in our smart home solutions. He was intrigued in the energy saving opportunities that the Miniserver presents. Perhaps a future customer, maybe…? We certainly hope so!
