Challenge
Padel and pickleball are also becoming increasingly popular in Switzerland. In the meantime, we were able to equip the 6th padel hall for Padelwerk so that it can be operated as efficiently and smartly as possible and the athletes have even more fun paddling. The hall opened in the Wiggispark shopping center in Netstal (Glarus) with 5 padel courts, 3 pickleball courts and a changing room for men and women as well as a spacious lounge area. The following challenges had to be solved:- Customers gain access to the hall via a PIN code, which they receive when making the reservation
- Access is via automatic sliding doors as well as conventional doors with
motor lock
- The hall should only be lit when there is activity. It should be possible to illuminate the hall differently for different scenarios
- The changing rooms with toilet and shower should have a pleasant atmosphere in terms of light and music.
- The ventilation should always ensure a good climate by switching on periodically
- good quality music is simply part of it today. Customers should also be greeted when they enter the hall and warned and informed in the event of an evacuation being necessary
- Because questions about the rules of the game keep cropping up in these newer sports, these should be easily accessible on a TV
- Doors and windows should be monitored and the operator should be informed via a pop-up if necessary
- When the sun is shining, the hall should not heat up too much or be blinded by too bright sunlight by automatic shading. The shading system should be protected from - bad weather.
So that the operator always has an eye on all the halls, a cockpit is required to monitor all the halls.
Solution
The hall can be entered via both a lift and a staircase. In addition, access is via a separate sliding door outside of the shopping center's opening hours. At all access points there is a NFC Code Touch switch which opens the doors via a Miniserver, opens the hall and greets the athletes with a welcome message.Various control options were required for the lighting. In addition to the classic control via Relay Extension, two AO Extensions and a DALI Extension were also used.
A total of 19 Presence Sensors are used to individually monitor the presence of the various hall sections. This means that, for example, a pickleball court can be switched from 10% standby lighting to 100% game lighting when there is presence. In the changing rooms, the mirrors are illuminated in such a way that even exhausted athletes look good. The showers and toilets are illuminated more brightly when there is presence and, because it was a good idea, the ventilation was also integrated via DALI. The well-earned beer after the exertion can be enjoyed in the pleasantly lit lounge area.
A total of 23 Wall Speakers and Install Speakers connected to the Audioserver with 10 Extensions provide the optimal soundtrack. The volume of the various areas can be regulated within specified limits via the user-friendly Touch Pure Flex. The in-house evacuation system has been integrated accordingly and takes over the system if required
The various instructions are presented on a standard television via IR Control Air together with a Touch Flex
The status of the windows and doors is monitored using the Window Contacts and the operator is informed if they are opened at the wrong time
The existing blind control was implemented via KNX. Accordingly, the integration was very easy with a KNX Extension. The existing Weather Station could be integrated via ModBus
This 6th hall can also be monitored and maintained conveniently and clearly via the new Exosphere portal solution.
It's always wonderful to be able to provide a solution for almost everything with Loxone and to be able to answer a surprised "Oh, really, that's possible?" with a smiling nod.
