Fire alarm

This function block allows you to create your own fire alarm system.

The Fire Alarm function block allows you to create your own advanced Fire Alarm system without the huge price tag.

This function block allows input from smoke detectors, as well as any other temperature sensors connected to the Loxone system, combining smoke and heat detection as part of the Fire Alarm.

This block integrates with the Loxone Music Server for audible notifications, allowing for a siren sound to be played through your speakers.

This video explains the features of the Fire Alarm block, and talks you through how to use it within your configuration.

Basic setup

As with all function blocks, you can find and insert the Fire Alarm block by searching through the "F5" menu.
Any Air enabled Smoke Detectors and Temperature Sensors can be integrated with the block by double clicking on the block.
After this, simply tick the devices you want to include as sensors for the Fire Alarm.
If you have already set up a Loxone Music Server within your configuration, Music Server Zones will also appear in this menu, allowing you to tick the zones you want to play the Fire Alarm siren in.

You can also make use of any wired smoke detectors or smoke detectors through the block inputs.
Smoke detectors are connected to the input I and temperature sensors to the input AIt.
If you do not have a Loxone Music Server, and want to use another siren, you can use the Qh output to trigger this.

In the below example, you can see a warning light and a caller service have been connected to the Q1 output. This output is used as a first stage output, before the main siren is triggered.

The first stage alarm (output - Q1) will be switched on after a rising edge on input I, or when the maximum temperature (parameter Tm) has been reached on input AIt. This is normally used as a silent alarm, so the siren will not yet be sounding.

Should the Fire Alarm not me acknowledged before the end of the time specified by Dm then the main alarm (output Q2) and the siren (output Qh) will be switched on.
The alarm can be acknowledged through the app or by a pulse on input C.

Inputs, Parameters, Outputs

C Acknowledge Alarm Acknowledge the alarm on the rising edge.
Ch Silence siren Turns off output Qh to silence the siren, alarm outputs Q1 & Q2 stay on.
I Smoke alarm input Digital Input for wired smoke detectors.
AIt Temperature input Digital Input for wired temperature sensors.

D Delay of main alarm Delay before the main alarm (Q2) starts (in seconds).
Tm Maximum temperature The alarm activates when any temperature sensor used with the block reaches this value.
Dm Maximum duration of the alarm Maximum duration of the alarm in seconds. Set to 0 for unlimited.
Ca Automatic acknowledgement When Ca = 1, the main alarm will be automatically acknowledged at the end of the timer Dm
Ms Service mode Service mode is activated when this parameter is set to 1. Only Qt will be activated as an alarm test.

Q1 Digital output - first stage alarm

Output ON as soon input is triggered, or AIt exceeds maximum set by paramter Tm

Q2 Digital output - main alarm Output ON only after input I is triggered, or AIt exceeds maximum set by paramter Tm, and a delay set by parameter D.
Qh Digital output - siren Output for connecting a siren.
AQ Analogue output - Number of active detectors Analogue output defining how many detectors are currently active
Qt Digital output - test alarm Output for test alarm (service mode) - will be ON only when the parameter Ms is ON
TQ Text output last active detector Provides the name of the last active detector.
