Miniserver spotted undercover on Siemens exhibition stand

by Philipp | 0 Comments | Category: Backstage | Miniserver

Seems like even Siemens are impressed by what our Miniserver has to offer and are presenting it at the Construma, an international exhibition for the building trade.

Unfortunately the Miniserver is in an undercover operation, in its old grey case and without the label. Very hard to spot for the untrained eye of exhibition visitors.

by Philipp | 5 Comments | Category: Home Automation | Smart Home Automation | Control

Home automation is taking over the media - newspapers, magazines and TV reports are all publishing more and more articles about the intelligent control of your home.

But sometimes the information in these articles is more absurd than helpful. So it is with this ginormous 36 push button switch panel which we stumbled upon in a Swiss magazine.

by Philipp | 3 Comments | Category: Home Automation | Smart Home Automation | General

This question quite rightly comes up time and again amongst home owners, electricians and builders. When we’re being asked about it, the conversation often starts with something like:

  • I really don’t need all the latest gimmicks
  • It’s far too expensive for me
  • I can’t see any real advantages

The subject of home automation is nothing new – products have been on the market for over a decade now – and yet most people out there haven’t got a clue what a house of the future might look like.

Catching mice with your Loxone Miniserver!

by Tim | 5 Comments | Category: Miniserver | Control | Smart Home Automation

The Loxone Miniserver is certainly a versatile piece of kit, but even we are sometimes surprised by our customers’ inventiveness! Here’s a picture sent to us by a customer showing their mouse trap which they monitor with Loxone.

New Update: How to get your Miniserver’s time back on track

by Philipp | 0 Comments | Category: Miniserver

The leap year has managed to confuse the date calculation process of the Miniserver. With our new Beta release you can get your Miniserver’s time back on track.

Who should install this update?

The time on the Miniserver is set automatically using internet time services, but the leap year has caused the Miniserver to interpret the information from the net incorrectly. The net result is that the Miniserver is one weekday ahead and that the date is out by 2 days. So today, Friday 2nd March your Miniserver believes it is Saturday the 4h March.
